Woflow

Branding and UI design for a foodtech startup that helps restaurants manage their menu data.
OVERVIEW
Woflow is a data platform on which restaurants can easily convert menus into structured data, eliminating inconsistencies and serving as a source of truth for restaurants and food delivery services. My role on the team was to create a new brand identity for the startup to help them effectively transition from a B2B to B2C business model, and to create a UI component library that would help the team quickly build out their hi-fidelity prototypes.

Logo Design

While a logo redesign was not part of the original scope, when I joined the team I saw an opportunity to refresh the existing logo to make it more legible and visually balanced. I created a deck for the client describing some of the visual errors I saw in the typography and logomark, along with several options for new logos.

Branding

I worked with the client to develop a new brand identity that would effectively communicate their values. Because they were handling restaurant data and other sensitive information, it was important that they be perceived as being trustworthy and reliable. They also wanted to be seen as approachable, because their end user (restaurant managers) could easily be someone who is not accustomed to using complex software. I developed a set of brand guidelines that outlined the company's vision and mission, brand attributes, use of the logo, typography, and brand colors.
